Spencer's First TBall Game

Spencer had his first ever Tball game on Saturday April 18th. He was so excited!!! I am not sure if he knew what was happening at first.

When he went to bat he saw his brothers and sister, immediately he smiled so big and yelled, "look at me guys look at me!" He was waving his hand and bat around as if they couldn't see him. He was so proud and I wanted so badly to have saved that moment forever.

He was just such a sweet boy and was so happy that his family was there to see him. He has been watching "his kids" in all of their sports since he was born and now he has his very own turn. It was just a wonderful day.

Our Baptism

April 11, 2009

On the evening before Easter, my kids and I were baptized and I was confirmed into the Catholic Church. I spent the past 8 months in RCIA which is a class that helped me understand being Catholic and what Catholics believe. This class was so helpful. I was able to learn so much and dispelled many misconceptions of what Catholics believe.

The evening was amazing. We asked Autumn and Bill F. to be the kid's Godparents. They were so gracious and accepted. We started with dinner with Autumn and Bill. After having dinner, we went to the church. The kids needed to get dressed in their dress clothes. Sarah wore a beautiful white dress that my friend Drue loaned to me. She looked beautiful! It was so exciting because the twins would be taking first communion as well. The boys all wore navy pants with blue and white pinstripe shirts. They looked so grown up.

I was so nervous leading up to the ceremony. I hadn't been that nervous since I was about to marry and each birth of our children. I think that is because it is a very life changing experience.

Back to the evening, we were called to the front of the church like a couple of others that were to be baptized and/or confirmed. My children were baptized one by one starting with Mitchell, then Matthew, Sarah and finally Spencer.  It was so emotional and amazing all at the same time. Autumn and Bill were by their side one by one as the Father baptized them. I was next and the feeling is beyond words. I would never ever thought I'd have the feelings I have and had that evening if you had asked me 8 months ago. It is just amazing.
